Los Angeles Al Fresco Dining (In A Pandemic)

Los Angeles Al Fresco Dining (In A Pandemic)

COVID-19 has certainly put a damper on many of the social activities we once knew and loved. As California started to re-open, it seemed as though things would get back to some form of normalcy. Restaurants and bars slowly opened again, hair salons began taking appointments and even gyms opened up with new safety protocols in place.

But as cases climbed and hospitals started to see a surge in patients, city and state officials decided to roll back bits of the re-opening plans and our favorite places to gather began to close again.

Currently we are still in a state of limbo, even as things are improving. But many restaurants have been able to stay open, setting up tables for strictly outdoor service, offering a very European style of dining.

So if you are sick of eating at home and ready to venture out, but too scared to eat inside of a restaurant, you have plenty of great options.

Here is a list of my favorites:

  1. Vicente’s in Brentwood
  2. Little Beast Restaurant in Eagle Rock
  3. Momed in Atwater
  4. Saddle Peak Lodge
  5. A.O.C.
  6. Spago
  7. Republique
  8. The Draycott in the Palisades
  9. Nobu Malibu
  10. Dama DTLA
  11. Alta in West Adams
  12. GJUSTA in Venice

Be safe, wear a mask and help support your local business if you can. We are all in this together.
